We have negotiated a special rate for all ICGSE participants who make their booking through the agency hired by the conference organization ("DC Travel", see below) "as long as they still have rooms available" for the conference week. Accomodation for the conference participants is reserved from Novotel Porto Alegre Três Figueiras.
Because of a big parallel event (called Expointer - an agricultural show with national importance in Brazil) in a city very close to Porto Alegre, the rate for that period is around R$ 522,00 (~USD 261). The hotel will have a special rate for us varying from R$ 280,00 (USD 140, EUR 110) to R$ 318,00 (USD 159, EUR 125), depending on the type of room (single or double), plus ~10% tax.

He will send you further instructions and confirm your booking at Novotel. The hotel will charge 50% of the costs now using your credit card number and the remaining 50% will be paid directly at the hotel when you arrive in Porto Alegre.
We are negotiating another hotel very close to this one in case this hotel is full – which is likely to happen very soon.

In Picada Café we Will visit Hand craft and Alambique (cachaça’s distillery) where they sell typical products of the region. In Nova Petrópolis we Will visit the small tipical german downtown, The Flower Square, the small maze and the Immigrant Park (optional). In Gramado we Will visit Lago Negro (Dark lake), The Belvedere of the Quilombo Valley, o Mundo Encantado ( Small World - optional), Santa Clauss House (optional) Downtown Gramado, The Cathedral, Rua Coberta (street with shops and restaurants), Nicoletti Major Square, Igreja do Relógio (Church of The Clock, Joaquina Rita Bier Lake, handcrafts, shops e The House of Chocolate. In Canela we Will visit o Mundo a Vapor (optional), Laje de Pedra Park, Ferradura Valley, Downtown Canela, Stone Church, Caracol Waterfall (optional), shops and a winery with tasting. In Igrejinha we Will visit a a show-room of Leather goods in a leather factory.

In Bento Gonçalves we Will visit São pedro Colony,with tipical italian architecture, as a Ferraria dos Ferri, Strapazzon Canteen, The Bertarello Mill, The São Pedro Chapel, The Old Cavalet Hotel, The Stone Houses and The handcrafts of the old Italian Imigrant families that lived the region since 1820 till today. Still in Bento Will visit The Parreirais (Grapevines), The Canteens and the winery where relax in a lovely environment after tasting the wines of the region. In Garibaldi we Will make a guided visit in the champagne distillery with tasting. In Carlos Barbosa we will visit the Show Room of Tramontina (cutlery factory) and Casa de Queijos (The House of Cheeses).

- Foz do Iguaçu
Day 1: Departure from Porto Alegre to Foz do Iguazu by plane. Transfer to the hotel. Tour to Iguazu falls in the Brazilian side in the afternoon with half day duration. Dinner at night.
Day 2: Tour to Iguazu falls in the Argentinian side) visiting the Green Way, the Upper and Lower Walkways and the Devil´s throat with the forest train. Great Adventure Tour (optional). Dinner at night.
Day 3: Transfer to the airport. Return to Porto Alegre (or direct to the airport of departure)
